My wonderful sister mentioned to her colleague Wendy that I would be in town visiting and showed her my photography. Wendy was kind enough to ask that I photograph her daughter Amanda’s senior portraits. I was quite excited for Amanda’s photos because I don’t get to do any senior portraits in Scotland and even though my parents own horses I’ve never done a photo shoot with them. They add an exciting and unpredictable element to the photographs as you can’t exactly get them to cooperate how you would like. I quite enjoyed the spontaneity that Amanda’s horse brought as it made for genuine laughter on Amanda’s face. Amanda was great to photograph as she was elegant, relaxed, and smiley. We took more shots without her 4 year old thoroughbred and a few with her parents. As the sun went down I noticed a few lights back in the barn and we took a few more to finish off the evening. I had a fun evening with a lovely family.
