This is a self funded personal interest piece about my friend Everitte Barbee. Everitte is an inspiring individual whose story I simply thought needed to be shared. Off to Lebanon Anna and I went to try and tell his story. I immediately connected with his story because both of us grew up with a slight sense of Islamophobia due to the way the media presents 1Arabic cultures to Americans.
While traveling he fell in love with the Middle East and is trying to help others realize irrational fear breeds hatred through his artwork. His story is inspiring on many levels as he is also challenging the common beliefs western cultures have towards success being monetary. He helps redefine success by proving that doing what you love where you want to live is all any of us need.
